Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to assess the activities of foreign investors in five least developed voivodeships forming Eastern Poland. The analysis found that the voivodeships of Eastern Poland poorly attract foreign investors. In this macro region, capital investors primarily invest in traditional industries, and high-technology industries are less important. For regional economies entities with foreign capital in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and then in the Lubelskie Voivodeship shape the best prospects. These entities create jobs for skilled workforce, provide it with development prospects, increase contacts with foreign countries, in the greatest extent create a knowledge based economy.
