Summary/Abstract: The goal of the article is to present the model of intersectoral partnership which becomes very popular all over the world. In modern society partnership is really necessary as it gives a chance to create co-operation and helps to solve difficult environmental, social, local and global problems. Creation of well-functioning intersectoral partnership is a difficult task requiring close co-operation of partners from various sectors – public, economic and social. The mission of partnership must concern common good i.e. favourable change, profitable and noticeable for both partners and recipients. During last years the idea of partnership co-operation became more commonly accepted and evaluated and more frequently treated as the answer to the problem of helping excluded people. There are many examples of good intersectoral practices. This article presents interesting and worth recommending area of activity of United Way Foundation – mainly long-term proprietary social programme Partnership for Children being the answer to difficult social problem such as poverty of Polish children. The goal of the programme is to create the same developmental and educational chances for children threatened with exclusion and marginalization, children coming from poor multi-problem or educationally inefficient families. Helping such children is a good investment into their lives, lives of their families and the whole society. The project relying on intersectoral co-operation joins capabilities and efficiencies of various circles: non-governmental organizations, self-government, business, governmental administration, scientific centres and media.
