Analysis of saving preferences of household in Poland

Summary/Abstract: Household savings are important for the whole economy and its growth and development. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to analyze the savings' preferences of household in Poland in 2005-2012.In the analyzed period there have been significant changes in structure of household savings. Household in Poland invest primary in bank deposits, however they replaced it more willingly with other forms offered in the financial market. For the purpose of the analysis author used the data published by Central Statistical Office (GUS), National Bank of Poland (NBP), Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and statistical data published in the Social Diagnosis 2013 (and earlier) report and reports commissioned by various entities
