Costs of unused resources in a hospital ward

Summary/Abstract: Health services are specific. It is difficult to estimate their size and time of occurrence. To meet the expectations of potential patients, health care facilities must be maintained potentially available. In the paper the author estimates the costs of unused resources using two methods. The first method is based on information from full cost accounting and standard costing and the second one comes from activity based costing and resources consumption accounting.
