Summary/Abstract: This work presents two ways of thinking about Corporate Social Responsibility: a classic concept, so-called Carroll’s pyramid, as well as CSR in the context of stakeholders’ expectations. The authors particularly focus on the before profit model, where CSR is a starting point, not the final result of the organizations’ activity. In accordance to above there were presented assumptions of Life Cycle Management and its dimensions: environmental – Life Cycle Assessment, social – Social Life Cycle Assessment and economic – Life Cycle Costs. It has been stated that as suitable research techniques develop at the same time they can be a promising tool of an integrated assessment of sustainable development, which is one of the principles of socially responsible organization, particularly in the dimension of its relationship with stakeholders.
