Summary/Abstract: Corporate Social Responsibility is a modern company management concept, which takes into account economic, environmental and social aspects. CSR is an essential prerequisite for the permanent organizational development. The concept gains increasing interest among organizations from all over the world, as it brings particular benefits. In the CSR framework the stakeholders theory gains importance. In response to practical needs CSR concept systematically keeps evolving. In the article the nature, the meaning and the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility were pointed out including the benefits for organizations, which incorporate CSR into their strategy. In addition directions of CSR development were presented.
