Summary/Abstract: The author of the article tries to apply a deconstructive model of three outstanding works on the subject of war, occupation and Warsaw ghetto experiences. These works were published at the beginning of the 70’s of the 20th century. The author observes carefully the work of language, both on the level of its structures and detailed stylistic (rhetoric) and lexical procedures. Out of these observations emerge a kind of cognitive outcome which degrades the texts. Out of three different language models – authentic in Białoszewski (famous “chatter”), intertextual estheticism in Odojewski and myth in Wojdowski – Wojdowski’s text best stood the test of time. In his work, the experience of everyday ghetto was written with the help of symbolic language of myth. The second part of the article deals with relation between the language used and issues of loftiness and expression. Trans. A. Gierba
