FANTAZMATYKA KUŚNIEWICZA
KUŚNIEWICZ’S PHANTASM

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt of reading certain scenes or even whole texts of Andrzej Kuśniewicz by the category of phantasm. At the beginning, the author reminds Freudian understanding of the term and its later reinterpretations (Klossowski, Janion, Kristeva). The analytic part focuses on following issues: phantasm of the borderland community (which is rather a kind of wishful idea or desire than a socio-political reality); phantasm of the historical truth (which in fact is the un-truth as it is founded on a widespread relativization and aesthetization); phantasm of power; erotic phantasm (that links desire with identity) and, last but not least, thanatic phantasm which is a figure of an end and fall.
