Some Thoughts on the Impact of ICT in Education

Summary/Abstract: The advent of ICT in society has been an unprecedented event as regards the adoption of new ways of conceiving work, education, leisure, etc., in our daily lives. The so-called “digital natives” play a key role in the process versus the group developed in the era before ICT – “digital immigrants”. This article offers a reflection on the state of education in general, and on the current influence of ICT on the design of new models of education, different to those supported by traditional education systems.
