Sources of innovation of tourist enterprises in a region

Summary/Abstract: Innovation has become one of the major areas of research in tourism. Tourist operators that have achieved spectacular success usually implemented different types of innovation. This paper presents an overview of the concepts related to the sources of innovation in tourism, both endogenous and exogenous sources. As part of the research there were indicated the sources of innovation implemented in the surveyed companies, which were critically examined. The article presents the results of research conducted in 2012 in the southern sub-region of Silesia Voivodeship.
