Miguel Hernández in the Land of the Soviets

Summary/Abstract: Miguel Hernández’s trip to the USSR in 1937 was decisive to his personal and poetic evolution, as well as to his revolutionary theatre of social agitation. The present paper focuses on the young author’s impressions through his letters and compositions written within Soviet lands. Although much discussion has been made regarding the possible disappointment he experienced, everything leads us to think otherwise, as the poet had an ideological firmness until the end of his days.
