Summary/Abstract: The article presents the Polish astronomical dictionary by Jan Kanty Steczkowski dating from the second half of the 19th century which has not been published yet. It makes an extensive survey of Polish astronomical vocabulary. The dictionary contains Greek, Latin, French and German equivalents of Polish terms, which is its great value. Thanks to it we can settle without problems the etymology of Polish terms. The dictionary will be printed next year.
