Summary/Abstract: The article deals with actual problems of criminal politics related to searching of adequate extent of criminal repression. The article describes main attribute of development of Czech criminal law after 1989. The attention is focused on proposal of th new Czech Criminal Code, that should markedly increase the extent of criminal repression. In the conclusion there is analysis of reasons of such effect
