Summary/Abstract: My paper reflects on certain incompatibility of individual events, of acts by individual people whom we describe through the archival sources, memoirs, etc., with the framework of the regime. I am also exploring the Polish communist regime of the 1980’s – that was the big moment of the Polish discussion on the communist regime when it still existed, and especially the sociologists attempted to understand how it worked as it obviously did not work along the lines it claimed itself.
