Summary/Abstract: By signing the Bologna Declaration, higher education in Romania became a member of the Single European Higher Education Area. However, the research performed so far only shows an occasional formal fulfillment of the standards required by the Bologna Process, Romania still having many obstacles to overcome to reach a truly European higher education.
