Summary/Abstract: This study discusses a flint blade hoard discovered in 1986 near Băbăiţa village (Teleorman County), which comprised 16 whole and fragmentary blades. The blades range between 7.2cm and 15.9cm in length, and it is evident that both direct percussion with a soft hammer and indirect percussion techniques were used in their production. Their large size and morphology are similar to blades from a hoard belonging to the Gumelnita culture, discovered in the second habitation level of Pietrele tell settlement. The location of this discovery, close to the ‘Măgura din Vâlcele’ tell settlement in Frasinet village, provides indirect dating evidence to suggest this hoard also belongs to the Gumelnita culture.
