Local economy of the city in the holistic perspective

Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to present the essence of urban local economy, with a particular emphasis on factors of an endogenous nature. Taking into account the endogenous perspective of this economy, the article proposes theoretical model of urban local economy based on its six aspects: subjective, objective, functional, attribute-based, institutional and functional. The presented approach takes into account the multidimensionality of urban local economy which, in the authors’ opinion should be analyzed in a holistic way, taking into account institutional, structural and functional changes taking place in the scale of the city and its environment.
