Summary/Abstract: This article describes the FDI outflows from India. The analysis includes a description of the most important directions where India put its capital and the sectarian structure of Indian flows. Until the 90s of the twentieth century Indian investment remained at low level. The country was developing very quickly and entrepreneurs started to look for opportunities for getting rich also on foreign markets. India became an important investment exporter. FDI outflows amounted to 1.9 billion USD in 2000 and in ten years in 2010 it increased to 14 billion USD. The main directions for Indian investment are country form the European Union (the Netherlands, Great Britain, Channel Islands), Singapore, the USA and Mauritius. The most important sectors are metal and mining, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive or information technology.
