Summary/Abstract: There are many factors that determine the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to the country. This article presents the most important indexes describing the investment in India. United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the companies AT Kearney and Ernst & Young put India among the most attractive countries for investments. Their findings were presented by the situation of FDI in strategic sectors. India owes its position to rapid economic growth and extensive market. A further “invasion” of the country determines the improvement in inconvenience in the market, such as bureaucracy, corruption and poor infrastructure.
