Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses a number of collocations in the field of ecology from three points of view: their resemblance with the fifty most frequent every-day English collocations buit on a similar pattern, as they are quoted in the Cobuild online Bank of English, the possible ways of translating them into Romanian and their presence in specialized dictionaries.
