GLOBALISATION: PROS AND CONS

Summary/Abstract: The process of globalization is a very controversial issue stirring negative as well as positive reactions. Still, most people would agree that it is an inevitable process leading to increased commercial, political and cultural relations between people of different countries. Globalization produces effects of different nature (economic, political, social, military, ecological etc.) which involve various risk and benefits. There are too many reasons that make states move in the process of globalization, such as: national interests, realism in politics, and ensuring security. Globalization can be a major force for prosperity only if it is backed by adequate national policies. Admitting or not, globalization seems to be an unstoppable process, many times outside of human control to which it should be inevitably submitted.
