Summary/Abstract: Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (DAHR), the legitimate representative of the Hungarian community, represented a factor of stability and democratization of the country in the post-comunist period. The evolution of DAHR presents importance in terms of the relation between Hungarian community and Romanian majority. The list of "Hungarian solidarity" represents the first agreement between DAHR and the Hungarian National Council of Transilvania for the participation in a common list under the sigle/sign of the Alliance to the Europarliamentary elections from 2009. What are the political significance and involvment of this agreement? In what way did the elections influence this decision and what are the effects related to the power relation within the Hungarian community of Romania?
