Summary/Abstract: Taking as an example the poem Prognana balada by Slavko Mihalić, the paper attempts to define the ways in which temporal category appears in a lyrical poem. Seven different manifestations are established: astronomical time, meteorological time, historical time, metaphysical time, existential time, textual time and literary time. Each manifestation is defined and supported by examples.
