Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the concept of nothingness in Eckhart by pointing out to three main categories of it: epistemological, pragmatic and christocentric. The article explains the relationschips between theism and nothingness that can be understood in terms of a twofod kenotic metaphysics, i.e., as a movement, from distinction (Unterschiedenheit) to indistinction (Ununterschiedenheit).
