The Use of the Bible in Christian Counseling

Summary/Abstract: Not limiting itself only to official counseling sessions, but also including edifying relationships between believers, this article calls for an exclusive commitment to the sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures in counseling. After a general assessment of the usefulness of psychology, the article raises two theological points, namely the inspiration of the Bible and obedience as the core of the Gospel, and suggests two aspects of practical application – private teaching by church leadership and the mutual edification of believers.
