Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of torture has forms ranging from physical assault to the whole variation of psychological aggression, which can be subtle, primitive or insinuated. Awareness of this phenomenon is a mandatory requirement. The first step in the prevention of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment is to effectively guarantee the freedom; this guarantee is achieved through international treaties, constitutions and other organic laws.
