Summary/Abstract: Changes in Bulgaria during the last two decades concern all aspects of the social life. Reforms in the educational and health care systems create many new problems for the Physiotherapy profession but reveal new opportunities as well. The continuing development of university programmes in Physiotherapy is a key instrument to meet the higher EU criteria for professional recognition and autonomy.
