Summary/Abstract: The article describes the way of motivating and the specificity of systems used in the insurance industry. Its purpose is to present the incentive system used in the Polish insurance companies. It also describes the daily operational ways to motivate employees by their superiors. In addition, the paper discusses the incentive systems in the insurance industry against the background of the theory of motivation and finally presents risks from the use of such systems.
