Summary/Abstract: In the article the influence of spikes on the surface topography areal form removal by polynomial approximation was presented. The cylinder liners after plateau-honing and plateau-honing with additionally added oil pockets were studied. The impact of spikes on the surface topography parameters (from ISO-25178 standard) while form removal was also described.
