Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the rudiments of stream-of-consciousness technique used by James Joyce in the first two chapters of his novel. The author’s basic contribution is in advancing the interior monologue one step ahead by means of interpreting the unceasing stream of impressions and the constantly changing nature of human thought.
