Summary/Abstract: This study aims to rediscover the values contained in the Christian ancestral riches embodied in the worship books. Part of the Holy Tradition, a way in which God reveals Himself to people, worship books comprise the strictly doctrinaire nature of Christian faith, which they comprise, and provide details under a worship form from a hymnographic view, thus becoming the authentic preserver of faith truths, with a special missionary role particularly in preaching the Church. By using them when conducting the Orthodox services, they provide the unity of faith. The topicality of essential themes of Orthodoxy, systematized with a missionary purpose by specific worship books, is their constant parameter, a fountain of living water that springs Christian teachings under the garment of the word written on paper as an actual proof of the Church’s plenary confession of faith. Moreover, they silently shelter God’s delicate and gentle divine words which may bring people closer to God.
