Summary/Abstract: The Manuscripts of Dvůr Králové (1817) and Zelená Hora (1818) had great influence on Czech culture of 19th century: they were the first major literary works that set the pre-Christian and early Christian national past as an ideal for successive Czech writing. The research into these Manuscripts as valuable literary works was partly abandoned after they had been revealed as forgeries from the early 19th century. The paper goes back to the comparision of the Manuscript of Dvůr Králové to Jaroslav Linda’s novel Light over Pagandom by Felix Vodička. It analyzes the „context of outer world“ of these works (in Vodička’s sense of the word) and the role it plays in their structures (tight connection between their protagonists and space descriptions leading to the dominance of the „context of outer world“). At the same time, it’s necessary to say that there are some basic differences between Linda’s novel and the Manuscript (dynamics of the horizontal axe in the latter case due to a lower extent of its intellectual individualization of protagonists and its orientation of their conflicts to the reader).
