Findings of the Statistical Monitoring on Entrepreneurship of Women

Summary/Abstract: The issue of the actual number of the Bulletin is a presentation of the most important (selected) findings of the statistical monitoring concerning of the women and men´s entrepreneurship. The primarily sources of the background statistical data was the Eurostat on-line database (On-line database of the Statistical Office of the European Union) and database of the Slovak Statistical Office - results from the Labour Force Survey (LFS). This methodological approach was used because of its best-rate guarantee of mutual comparability between the data not only within the framework of the SR but also between different countries of the EU. In the Bulletin are presented not only gender-disaggregated statistical information (data) about entrepreneurship but also the data about women and men´s entrepreneurship together (for Slovakia as entrepreneurs total, entrepreneurs with employees/employers and entrepreneurs without employees/self-employed). The statistical monitoring is focused on situation in SR, primarily. Information about entrepreneurship in the EU countries is the interesting (and probably useful) supplement of the Bulletin. We assume that the presented information was not yet published in that (complex) form in Slovakia because as a new indicators (about entrepreneurship/self-employment rate), wich are a product of the Bulletin author.
