Summary/Abstract: In this paper we have tried to find out whether the assessment of basic person-ality structure can help to predict adolescent delinquents’ (N=54, average age=18.65 years, SD=1.69) behavior during their time at a reformatory. The research was con-ducted in the Reformatory in Kruševac. Big Five factors of personality and Disinte-gration were used as predictors. Criterion behaviors were measured by questionnaire which explored behavior of Reformatory protégés described by educators who work with them. Factor analysis of this questionnaire revealed three latent dimensions that explain 65.28% of original items variance. According to their content they were named Irritability, Forethought and Manipulation. After that, three hierarchical multiple regression analyses were done, with the obtained factors as criterion variables. The results emphasize the role of Agreeable-ness factor in explanation of criterion behavior, as well as the role of Neuroticism and Extraversion. Modalities of Disintegration which contribute to prediction are: Social Anhedonia, Somatoform Disregulation and General executive dysfunction. In a prac-tical sense, the validity and the significance of basic personality structure assessment in working with delinquents were confirmed.
