Romania’s legislation in the field of the protection and preservation of the immobile patrimony – historical and architectural monuments, after 1989

Summary/Abstract: The article represents a synthesis work dealing with the Romanian legislation, from the period after 1990, regulating the protection of the historical and architectural monuments. It also discusses the approvals that are required when such objectives have to undergo preservation and restoration works. This legislation is in agreement with the regulations of the European Commission.
