Summary/Abstract: It is well known that the worldwide development of business, technology, science and communication (and these are only some examples) has led over the last decades to an increasing demand and need for teaching and learning English. As a result, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and from this Business English, emerged from the general concept of English as an international language. This study aims to analyse and discuss some issues related to Business English seen as part of a larger concept English for Specific Purposes (ESP).
