Summary/Abstract: The theme of this article is the creation and activity of the Serbian Democratic Party to the establishment of the first multi-party Parliament (Sabor) in the Socialist Republic of Croatia. This work analyzes the political aims of the party, the most important personalities associated with it during this period, the significance of its electioneering as well as of its results in the first multiparty election held in the spring of 1990.
