Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse two main features presented as crucial by the theoreticians of terminology and those of controlled languages: the univocity and the synonymy. It appears that French banking terminology is polysemic and contains synonyms while controlled languages vocabulary appears to be more stringent in this regard.
