Summary/Abstract: Systematic study of intonation presupposes discrimination of the main means of intonation, analysis of their differential functions and defining peculiarities of sounding intonation units. The main means of intonation systems of Lithuanian is intonation contour, which is further considered as an intonation unit. Lithuanian languages accordingly have 7 intonation units, i.e. ICL in Lithuanian. Phonetic realizations of different types of ICL are given in diagrams, reflecting peculiarities of individual pronunciation.
