Sin Or Sexual Orientation? Conception Of Orthodox Church About Homosexuality

Summary/Abstract: In first part of this article author sums up the official attitude of some Orthodox churches about homosexuality. The second part presents the attitudes of some Orthodox priests, who were faced with the problem of homosexuality in pastoral practice. According to teachings of the Holy Fathers and according to the Church`s self-consciousness, the Church is a hospital where people are called to heal the sin. Reject sin, and with love help to a sinner who repents - such is the relationship of the Church toward homosexuality and homosexuals.
