Summary/Abstract: To capture the characteristics of a musical culture specific to a given period of the history of music, a description of the socio-historical context is required. This will determine certain stylis-tic attributes or a designated path of growth and development. As such, we will create an overall framework which defines the cultural music of the 21st century, as influenced by multimedia. We will explorethe link between the impact of multimedia and certain aspects of contemporary soci-ety and cultural music. The conclusion will describe any developments of the above.
