Summary/Abstract: In the present paper we have proposed to present the concept of interdisciplinarity attributed to the History of Music, but especially of the way in which the information about sound, music, and everything related to the evolution of musical art can be understood, correlated and used in the global context of this study subjects. The concept of interdisciplinarity can be attributed to the History of Music since its establishment as a branch of science, subject or discipline of study, and its complexity itself resides in the joining of the two terms belonging to the two distinct disciplines: history and music. History studies the evolution of human society from ancient times to the present, and music history is a branch that refers to the evolution of music, and musical events. So, the History of Music can be defined as a complex branch of science, because it includes data on the emergence, evolution and development of all other disciplines that have in their field of study the phenomenon of sound, music, respectively musical art. Thus, by understanding historical events, musical events can also be understood from a new perspective, through the logic of the evolution of society, which also influenced the evolution at the level of musical art. All the conquests of science and technology had their manifestation in music. Referring to contemporary music with its innovations, this stage can also be easily understood if we look at it in the context of the rapid development of today's society, the global concerns of mankind, different from those of a century ago. Regarding the inter-, trans- and multidisciplinary applications generated by the information gathered by this discipline of study, we will present a series of student activities in which this approach is highlighted. The results of this approach were materialized in student papers presented at Scientific Communication Sessions, Bachelor theses or Dissertations. The students' satisfaction from individual and group study brought them motivation for research work, and materialized in an impulse of their future professional research activity.
