Summary/Abstract: Authorised Economic Operator can be defined as an economic operator who is deemed reliable in the context of his customs related operations, and, therefore, is entitled to enjoy benefits throughout the European Union. Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) has been operating in the European Union since 2008. Dynamic development of the program and the official recognition by a number of the main trade partners, is a proof that the institution of AEO is already well embedded in the European Union. Having the status of AEO is now the privilege of being in the group of economic operators recognized as reliable and solvent partners.
