Summary/Abstract: Public policymaking is very complicated phenomenon, and there are many groups of various actors which are directly or indirectly involved into its processes. Concerning variety of actors, one of the most important roles in terms of public policymaking is played by those actors involved in a group which might be described as politico-administrative actors. Obviously, when one look at them in European perspective he/she can find very different institutional networks. This statement is valid regardless of political level. Author deals with the institutional networks of local politico-administrative bodies in selected European countries in this article. The main goal is to point out the heterogeneity which is associated with such networks in comparative perspective.
