Summary/Abstract: Contribution of Professor Shaban Demirajt in the field of Albanian linguistics is exceptional and already valued, as a relevant heri-tage of Albanology of second half of twentieth century. In Albanian linguistics, most merited place for sure seizes because of his great synthesis in the field of historical morphology and phonology, as well as in the field of the history of Albanian language, of its formation place and on the origins of Albanian nation. In his synthesis on morphology, phonology and history of Alba-nian language not rarely were included comparative peculiarities of Albanian grammar with other Balkan languages, thus it is not random that his researching be crowned with another work, in which Albanian language, certainly earlier and more than other languages will be analyzed in the frame of their historical relation in Balkan realm and within the development of linguistic structures of languages in Balkan family. Perhaps in this volume Macedonian language very often has enforced place, which I believe came out as a result of its edition for the first time in Shkup and especially its parallel editing in Macedonian language, as well. His book “Gjuhësi ballkanike/Balkan linguistics”, came up with twofold results in the field of Balkanistics: first, this book being pre-pared for university needs, has fulfilled a great void in Albanian linguistics; second, all linguistic phenomena in Balkan linguistics ana-lysed with rare scientific accuracy, as can be done only by professor Demiraj, step by step: initially the history of phenomenon, than to present day study of and condition of the phenomenon and after that individual analyses together with critics and finally rounding up of synthesis, where Albanian language and its phenomenon have the main place. In this book, for the first time Albanian language has primary place in the level of comparisons and the study, in parallel with entire so far editions. Hopefully in the book of professor Demiraj once again is testified earlier recognized thought that: “Balkanistics without Albanian language is almost impossible”.
