Summary/Abstract: The article deals with Andrzej Falkiewicz’s radical, post-avant-garde critical project. In his sequential books, Falkiewicz has been increasingly transgressing the traditional limits of literary criticism, forcing us to ask about its different formula. Ms. Szumna shows in what ways, owing to a different definition of the notion of empathy and making use of complicated intertextual games, Falkiewicz reinterprets a modernistic pattern of impressionistic criticism – and, above all, how he reestablishes the relations between the author, the critic, and the reader.
