The role of eco-innovation in the process of sustainable development of a region

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents analyses of innovation as the factor stimulating sustainable development of a region. The most important determinants were presented stimulating their occurrence in the sector of companies. In addition, the attention was focused on the effects of diffusion and absorption of eco-innovations in the regional space from the continuous development perspective.
