Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between intellectual capital and the level of economic development in Polish regions and to order Polish regions in terms of the stock of intellectual capital. To achieve this aim, soft modeling was used. The results of modeling showed that intellectual capital is strongly and positively related to the level of economic development. Furthermore, the components of intellectual capital – human capital, social capital, structural capital and the capital of development – reveal positive correlation with intellectual capital. The leaders of ranking were the following regions: Masovian (mazowieckie), Pomeranian (pomorskie), Lesser Poland (małopolskie), Lower Silesian (dolnośląskie), Silesian (śląskie), Greater Poland (wielkopolskie) and West Pomeranian (zachodniopomorskie).
