Summary/Abstract: This text focuses on a short passage in Finnegans Wake, where Joyce makes a pun over the Homeric parallels in Ulysses. The auto-quotation gives a new light over the protagonist Glug, who reveals simultaneously the presence of Joyce as the author of the Blue book of Eccles within the fictional text and the Romantic artist.
