Summary/Abstract: English for Specific Purposes is defined to meet specific purposes and needs of the learners and therefore its teaching is centered on the language appropriate for the acquisition of the required skills. The content and method used depend entirely on the student’s reason for learning English. ESP focuses more on language in context than on teaching grammar. The ESP main characteristic is that English is not taught as a subject separated from the students' real world but, on the contrary, it is integrated into a subject matter area relevant to the learner.
